Linda DeGree
Linda DeGree is the author of eight books. She writes children's books, poetry courses, and coming-of-age books.
Linda is an educator, having taught preschool through high school classes. She has worked as a childcare director and Camp Invention Director. She has also worked with special needs adults through Northeast Iowa Community College. She and her husband have welcomed over 50 foster children into their home as well as 7 foreign exchange students. She has a wide range of experiences to base her characters on.
The Joy of Being a Grandmother.
There are lines around my mouth,
and a few crinkles around my eyes.
Alas, my neck lacks the look of youth,
And there is lots of silver in my hair.
Yet, there is a giggle upstairs
in my home,
that speaks of a happy grandchild
waking up ready to explore the world.
I will delight in the
wonder of a child
And of the joy of being grandmother.
